Printmaking:

The participants each get their own plexiglass which they draw/carve on. Choose or create your own motif. The picture or sketch is placed under the plexiglass to carve out the motif. After you have finished carving, the plate is blackened and ink is pushed into the grooves on the surface of the plate. Then acid-free, good quality printing paper is placed over the plate whereupon it goes through the press. Afterwards you remove the paper to reveal the print. Each participant is given the chance to make 3-4 prints off their plate. The ink is water-based, non-toxic and easy to wash off with soap and water. The participants themselves choose whether they want to work with colour or just black ink.

Wind and weather can affect what we can accomplish

Since we will be outside most of the time regardless of the weather, we recommend bringing: rain and windproof outerwear, woolly/thermal underwear, warm sweater, woolly hat and mittens. Shoes/boots should not have slippery soles or make marks on the deck. If you need to borrow anything from us, we can help with this, but will need to be notified a few days in advance.
